Custom shafts and pins for automotive components

Source drawing-led shafts, pins and turned parts with the inspection and project documentation agreed before production.

MICRO supplies precision shafts, pins and metal turned parts to customer drawings for automotive component applications. We work as an OEM manufacturer, rather than selling standard catalogue models. The starting point is your component definition: its drawing revision, assembly role, specified condition and required evidence. That information lets engineering review a manufacturing route and lets quality confirm which records the project needs. A photograph can help explain the geometry, but it does not replace the drawing or establish suitability for a particular vehicle system.

Define the component before discussing the process

For an automotive enquiry, separate the part specification from the supplier approval requirements. A shaft diameter, a groove position and a material condition belong in the component definition. A customer submission level or reporting format belongs in the quality requirements. Sending both together avoids a quotation that covers the metal part but misses the documentation needed for release.

  • Identify the controlled drawing and revision, including referenced specifications.
  • Mark customer-designated critical characteristics and the surfaces they apply to.
  • State whether acceptance is before or after treatment, coating or another operation.

Agree the evidence needed for approval

Our Ningbo manufacturing site holds the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certificates shown on the Quality page. These describe the stated management-system scope; they do not approve every component or replace your own supplier qualification. PPAP documentation and Cpk analysis are supported by project. Include the requested submission level, document list, key characteristics and targets so our engineering and quality teams can confirm scope before commitment.

Connect the order to its inspection records

MICRO uses ERP and MES systems for production and quality records. For your project, define the identification and traceability information you need to follow through manufacture, inspection and delivery. If material certificates, treatment records or a particular report format are required, list them at enquiry. Do not assume that a management-system certificate automatically supplies all part-level evidence or a particular customer portal submission.

Questions before you enquire

Can I order these parts by a standard model number?

No. The displayed parts are examples of custom work. Send your drawing, quantity and application so engineering can review the specific component.

Is a particular PPAP package included with every order?

PPAP is agreed by project. State the level and required items at enquiry; engineering and quality must confirm the document scope, timing and any additional requirements.

What should I send for an initial review?

Send the controlled drawing, sample and production quantities, material and treatment requirements, critical characteristics and the quality documents you need. You can start with the enquiry form and email the drawing using its reference.
